My lead was, “You know the feeling. The hour’s late. The road is clear. The slow metronome of the wipers keep you company. Your mind is already home
   “Then it happens.
   “Just over a rise you find a trailer truck sprawled in your path. There is only one thing between you and a 20-ton roadblock.
   “Your brakes. . . .”

The copy doesn’t stop there.  It goes on and on – and often, research showed, every word was read.
